Your journey, your future - with CREATE by your side
Leaving care is a big step. It’s exciting, but it can also feel overwhelming. Moving out, managing money, finding work or study, sorting housing - it’s a lot to take on. That’s why CREATE developed CREATE Your Future (CYF), a suite of programs and resources designed with and for young people, to help you build skills, confidence, and independence your way.
Whether you’re just starting to think about leaving care or already living independently, CREATE Your Future has tools, tips, and support to help you get ready, stay steady, and thrive.
For many young people, leaving care happens too fast - with little time to prepare or support to fall back on. CREATE’s work makes sure you’re not left to figure it out alone.

All Australian states and territories have now committed to extending care to 21 - a huge step toward giving young people more time, space, and support to prepare for adulthood.
CREATE continues to advocate for:
Consistency across states and territories
Equity of access for all young people
Transparent reporting on how supports are delivered
Evaluation with lived experience at the centre
Here are some of the key rights that apply to all children and young people in care. You can always ask your carer, caseworker, or CREATEto help you understand them better.
