Advocacy in Queensland

Our Queensland Young Consultants are advocating for children and young people in care to grow up safe and supported.

Voices in Action

Voices in Action is CREATE Foundation’s flagship conference – a national gathering that brings together young people with a care experience, carers, sector professionals, and decision-makers to listen, learn, and lead change.

Make it 21

CREATE's #MakeIt21 campaign put pressure on governments to listen to the voices of young people calling for support beyond 18. On Sunday, 6 November the NSW government officially announced they would extend support to 21 making this advocacy win Australia-wide for all young people in care.

Better Futures

Better Futures is a program the supports young people transitioning from care in Victoria from 16, up to 21 years of age. A series of factsheets and animations were created to help explain the support available to young people. Learn more on our Better Futures page.

Feedback & Complaints

This website was built in consultation with children and young people with a care experience. Thank you to all the young people involved in providing feedback and sharing your insights throughout this process.

CREATE Foundation acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the First Peoples and Traditional Owners of the lands, skies and waters where we live and work. We pay deep respect to Elders, knowledge holders and community leaders across all Aboriginal communities.

We acknowledge that Australia is culturally rich with the oldest living cultures on earth. And we acknowledge over 60,000 years of growing kids strong, connected to culture and Country.
